Fishing and the Florida Keys - it's a match made in heaven. But before you cast off, you'll want to decide what type of fishing appeals to you.
Generally, visitors choose either of two ways to fish in the Keys. One choice is to hire a back country guide to pilot you into the wilderness of the uninhabited Keys and mangrove shorelines of Florida Bay. The other option is to go offshore on a party boat or Deep Sea Charter boat.
If you are planning to go diving or snorkeling, then you are coming to the right place. The 120-mile Florida Keys island chain is home to North America’s only living coral barrier reef. This teeming backbone of marine life runs the length of the Keys about five miles off offshore.
